Beam was born out of a simple frustration:
the world moves in straight lines. Days blur into screens, routines, and schedules, and it can feel impossible to break free.

We started as three friends with a desire to move differently, to explore the body in ways that aren’t dictated by expectation or habit. From first experiments, we realised: movement is richer when it’s shared. Every class, session and soundscape is shaped by the people in the room: filled with co-created energy that lifts everyone higher than they could go alone.

Our approach is multi-modal, combining movement, sound, and space into experiences that are primal, instinctual, and free. It’s the kind of movement that taps into something ancient and human: your body remembers how to move when you let it lead.

In a world that pushes routine and repetition, Beam is an invitation to break free. To move without overthinking. To connect without pretense. To create something alive with others.

Story

Multi-Sensory Design: We create experiences that hit all the senses. Movement, sound, and the space itself work together to make you feel fully immersed.

Inner Connection: We believe in helping people access their inner worlds, cultivating presence, self-awareness, and joy through guided exploration.

Community & Co-Creation: We honor the energy of the collective. Every event, class, and gathering is strengthened by the participation and inspiration of our community.

Freedom & Experimentation: Creativity thrives in open space. We encourage curiosity, play, and fearless expression—whether you are a beginner or an artist in motion.

Values

Team / Teachers & Artists

  • Shi En / Teacher

Shi En’s endless curiosity towards movement has led her down many roads: yoga, gymnastics, calisthenics, strength training and running, and left her with a singular conclusion: that all movement is interconnected.

Her teaching style and practice reflects a great appreciation of this quiet synchronicity: equal parts creative sequencing and targeted drills, everything interlinked.

  • Erin / Teacher

Erin’s personal quest to understand her own body and take charge of her health led to a passion to empower others the same way.

As a trained doctor, her continuing education in yoga focuses on anatomical training as well as the exploration of mindfulness through all five senses. She melds equal parts strength, mobility and mental exploration into her flows.

Her lifelong background as a dancer breathes fluidity and dynamism into her flows.

  • Manfred / Artist

A devoted learner, lover of movement, and relentless artist - Manfred Lim serves as the music director for Beam. Under his tenure is Submersion, a relaxing hour of meditative ambient set to yoga participants flowing through poses.

Outside of his curatorial work in the spaces of electronica, ambient, and musique concrète, Manfred serves up a euphoric understanding of dance music through the lens of Balearic beat, house, and indie dance.

  • Ilham / Artist

An intuitive selector drawn to the atmospheric world of ambient sound and presence, Ilham Jufri sees music as more than something as background noise. His Submersion classes focus on curating a safe, meditative haven for participants to reaffirm their sense of self.

Accompanying his electronic pursuits in ambient electronica is Inflake, where he explores emotive, energetic electronic music.
